Google Pay contactless payments are now supported by 15 banks and financial providers in Malaysia, including AmBank, Bank Muamalat, CIMB, and more. Boost Bank is also listed as a supported bank, though its debit card contactless feature is not yet available. Once enabled, Boost Bank could be the first digital bank in Malaysia to offer Google Pay.

There are currently 15 banks/financial providers that support Google Pay payments which include AmBank, Bank Muamalat, CIMB, Hong Leong, HSBC, Maybank, Public Bank, RHB, Standard Chartered and Wise. Besides Boost Bank, Alliance Bank is also among the new supported banks for Malaysia.If you’ve not used Google Pay before, you must first download theBefore you get too excited, the Boost Bank Debit Card isn’t ready yet for Google Pay.

Since Boost Bank is already listed as a supported bank by Google, we reckon that Boost bank should be enabling the contactless feature soon. Once enabled, Boost Bank could possibly be the first digital bank to offer Google Pay and it would be interesting if they would proceed to enable Apple Pay support.to support Apple Pay and Google Pay since September 2023.
