A BREATHER is what we all need. How US President-elect Donald Trump will implement his campaign promise of ending wars in 24 hours certainly forebodes doom. For a country that subsists on its industrial war complex, it is never likely that it would wish to cut its lifeline.
For the United States, therefore, ending war can only mean ending its enemy's capacity to fight. It's basic to Sun Tzu's 'Art of War' in any case. To win in war, deprive the enemy of its will to fight.Back to square one then, i.e. be done with China. In an interview, Trump was asked why American soldiers continue to die around the world. Trump refused to answer, saying the question was better addressed to China.Woe is me, I couldn't make out what Trump meant but war.
