Senator Christopher “Bong” Go on Thursday, July 27 vowed to help the Marcos administration bring down inflation.
In an interview in Parañaque City, Go echoed President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.'s sentiments on how the nation has been grappling with inflationary pressures, largely due to global factors beyond its control.“There are so many factors that are beyond our control. Such as the rise of oil prices in the world market because of the war in Ukraine,” Go pointed out.
But Go noted there is a significant achievement in the country's fight against inflation as the rate was lowered from 8.7 percent in January to 5.4 percent in June. “Of course, we’re not yet done with helping out the administration to lower inflation because it really affects the poor,” Go said.
