One of reality TV’s most popular homes has sold for about $26m just three years after last selling for $10.5m.

The Tivoli Ave home has appeared in Vogue spreads and feature films such as Mao’s Last Dancer and been the setting for TV shows The Bachelor, The Voice and Married At First Sight. There were reports Wednesday that it had sold for “close to the $28m asking price” but reliable sources said this morning that the result was in fact closer to $26m.Villa Biscaya was designed by the prominent architect Alan Edgecliff Stafford in 1929.But that’s still an extraordinary jump in price over a short period of time on the back of a modest internal renovation. It last sold for $10.5m in 2020.

There’s currently just a tiny glimpse of the Harbour Bridge from the garden, but there are DA approved plans for an extra floor that would reveal an uninterrupted Sydney Harbour panorama.There’s no word yet on who the purchasers are.Villa Biscaya was designed by the prominent architect Alan Edgecliff Stafford in 1929.
