Telecommunications and digital services Globe Telecom Inc. on Wednesday said it is creating a new group dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and development.
Telecommunications and digital services Globe Telecom Inc. on Wednesday said it is creating a new group dedicated to artificial intelligence adoption and development.In a news release, Globe said it is establishing AI Development and Enablement Group , which will formally start on June 1, 2024.The telco said AIDE will spearhead its AI initiatives, focusing on strategic AI planning, development, business integration, and governance.
“We’ve begun to see AI’s impact by way of the different teams across Globe having ongoing initiatives to take advantage of its benefits, but it is imperative that we move forward with unified intent and renewed vigor to navigate these new technological frontiers swiftly,” said Cu.Globe named cybersecurity and data privacy expert Anton Bonifacio as its first Chief AI Officer . Bonifacio is concurrently Globe’s chief information security officer.
