Ginsburg a ‘true icon of democracy’ — VP Leni
Vice President Leni Robredo on Saturday said the late United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a “true icon of democracy.”
“As a Supreme Court Justice, she was steadfast and faithful to the Constitution and has never allowed herself to be swayed by political pressures,” Robredo said in a Facebook post. Ginsburg died on Friday, September 18, at her home in Washington, DC, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 87.The vice president said she was inspired by Ginsburg’s life and legacy after following her through the years.
