Barangay Ginebra torched the three-point territory in the crucial minutes to turn back Meralco, 112-107, in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Wednesday, March 1.

That was all Ginebra needed to turn things around as it launched a 7-4 exchange highlighted with another triple for Brownlee for the needed 102-97 cushion, 3:01 to go. While Brownlee spelled the difference when needed most and finished with 29 points and seven assists, it was Christian Standhardinger who carried the fight for Ginebra throughout the game.

The Kings also played selfless basketball by distributing the ball with 35 assists, allowing three other players to score in twin figures.Scottie Thompson quietly posted seven points, but contributed with 10 assists, six rebounds and four steals.
