THE man behind another Barangay Ginebra San Miguel title romp in the Philippine Basketball Association Governors Cup will receive one of the major trophies in the 2022 PBA Press Corps Awards Night on Monday at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
Ginebra team governor Alfrancis Chua is the season’s recipient of the Danny Floro Executive of the Year award for his major effort in the Kings’ successful campaign in Season 46 when the franchise won the import-laden conference for the fourth time in the last five years. This marks the second time that Chua will receive the award named after the late amiable Crispa Redmanizers team manager and owner Danny Floro.He’s now in the company of SMC president and chief executive officer Ramon S. Ang, First Pacific Company Ltd. managing director and chief executive officer Manuel V.
Chua joins the season’s honor roll that includes Arwind Santos , June Mar Fajardo , Allein Maliksi , Mikey Williams , Joshua Munzon, Jamie Malonzo, Calvin Oftana, Williams, and Santi Santillan , the quartet of Williams, Ian Sangalang, Robert Bolick, and Matthew Wright and teams San Miguel and NorthPort .
The choice for the Virgilio “Baby” Dalupan Coach of the Year is yet to be announced, with champion mentors Chot Reyes of TNT and Tim Cone of Barangay Ginebra contending for the award.
