Barangay Ginebra continued its dominance over NorthPort with a convincing 127-100 victory in Game 3 of their PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup semifinals series on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. The Gin Kings, much like in the first two games, started strong and never relinquished control, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
Jamie Malonzo delivered his best performance since returning from a nine-month calf injury, putting up 25 points on an impressive 7-of-11 shooting from the field, along with eight rebounds, to spearhead Ginebra's offensive onslaught. Justin Brownlee contributed 22 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, while Japeth Aguilar chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds. The Gin Kings' lead swelled to as many as 38 points, showcasing their overwhelming firepower. Scottie Thompson added 15 points, RJ Abarrientos contributed 10 points and a matching number of assists, and Troy Rosario became the sixth Ginebra player to reach double figures, further highlighting the team's depth. Kadeem Jack led NorthPort with 32 points, while Arvin Tolentino managed 15, but struggled with his shooting, connecting on just 5 of his 14 attempts. Ginebra again dominated the boards, securing a 51-33 rebounding advantage, and displayed exceptional ball movement with 36 assists throughout the series' first three games
