Gilas Pilipinas Men completed a sweep in the basketball tournaments of the biennial sports meet after destroying Thailand in the final, 115-81, Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The duo of June Mar Fajardo and Christian Standhardinger powered the Philippines with 17 points and 16 points, respectively.Gilas, however, went berserk and uncorked 40 points in the third quarter to pull away for good.Earlier, the Gilas Women squad bagged its first gold since joining the tournament in 1981.Latest from this section
