Gilas Pilipinas will take on visiting World Cup teams in a series of tune-up games behind closed doors prior to the opening battles in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
Admitting that he has a “difficult decision” to make, Gilas mentor Chot Reyes said the final line-up will be announced after the tune-up games, or on the day of the opening. “It is a big source of stress for me, obviously, because we have to make some difficult decisions. These guys have been with us from way, way back,” said Reyes in a previous media interview.
