Gilas scored victories over Taiwan and Hong Kong in the opening window last February.
More importantly, Gilas secured a ticket to the FIBA Asia Cup slated next August in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.In Asia, the Philippines stays at seventh spot in the rankings behind Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Lebanon and China.Qatar was the only national squad that made a significant move after jumping nine places up at No. 92.The United States stays at No. 1 in the rankings, followed by Serbia, Germany, France and Canada.
