Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo , who has been sidelined by a left calf strain, will unfortunately miss the NBA All-Star Game . Coach Doc Rivers stated on Sunday that Antetokounmpo's recovery hasn't progressed sufficiently to allow him to participate in the event next Sunday. Rivers also expressed that he is unlikely to return to the court before the All-Star break.

\Rivers emphasized the team's cautious approach, stating that while Antetokounmpo might play in a playoff game, the All-Star break presents an opportunity to prioritize his health. 'If this was a playoff game, would he play? Probably yes,' Rivers admitted. 'But this is not and we want to make sure he's playing in the playoffs.' We would love to have him but you've still got to be smart. At the end of the day, I think it's more important to get him healthy,' he added. \Antetokounmpo has missed the last four games, a streak that is expected to extend to six as the Bucks face Golden State on Monday and Minnesota on Wednesday. The team is hopeful that he will be back for their first game after the All-Star break, scheduled for February 20 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Antetokounmpo leads the NBA with an average of 31.8 points per game, along with 12.2 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.3 blocked shots. The Bucks have struggled in his absence, posting a 4-5 record. Currently, they hold the fifth position in the Eastern Conference with a 27-23 record, having lost six of their last eight games
