BACOLOD CITY – A getaway vehicle used by unidentified persons in a mall robbery in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last week was last seen in Batangas City.
POLICE release screengrabs from a CCTV showing the suspects and getaway vehicle involved in last week’s mall robbery during a press briefing in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, August 24.
In a press briefing over the weekend, Police Lt. Col. Nazer Canja, San Carlos City police chief, presented photos of the suspects and the getaway car captured from a CCTV camera footage. They collaborated with other agencies and police stations to determine the whereabouts of the suspects. The group recognized as Cebuano- or Hiligaynon-speaking individuals rented a cottage in an inn in Barangay Macapso, Vallehermoso town, Negros Oriental, before committing the crime, he added.
