Nearly $2,000 was donated to Nimkii-Naabkawagan Family Crisis Shelter in Rankin as part of the gas station chain's charitable efforts

Gen7 Fuel has announced it has donated more than $150,000 within the last year for growth and development in First Nations across Ontario.

Abby McLeod, manager of community programs for the Gen7 Fuel and co-owner of Jocko Point Gen7 Fuel in Nipissing First Nation, says a portion of funds generated from fuel fill-ups is going back into the communities where Gen7 Fuel has a presence. Gen7 Fuel began with the launch of its first gas station in 2019 with the objective of "investing in, assisting and supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs in the start-up and operation of retail fuel stations and convenience stores in First Nation communities."
