A market research study found that Generation Z (Gen Z) and younger Millennials are the top part-timers in the Philippines.
"We see an increasing number of Filipinos, particularly the younger generation, seeking part-time employment as a means to bolster their income and attain financial stability," Jason Gaguan, chairman and CEO of Agile Data Solutions, said in a statement.
Market research firm Agile Data Solutions, Inc., conducted the study with 1,000 respondents from July to September. It said that 60% of Filipinos ages 18-60 have part-time work and most of it belonged to the younger generations of ages 18-26. The top part-time positions are in the outsourcing industry, with call center leading, followed by virtual assistant, service crew, IT, and sales.
It also noted that flexibility and remote set-ups are priorities for 47% of the older generations and 25% of Gen Z.
