Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products this week, as oil firms announced another round of hikes following two straight weeks of cuts for gasoline and three for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P1.40, diesel by P0.50, and kerosene by P0.50.The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 4:01 a.m. the same day.per liter of gasoline by P0.85, diesel by P1.30, and kerosene by P1.90.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy indicate a year-to-date net increase of P4.65 per liter for gasoline, and net decreases of P4.15 per liter for diesel and P5.55 per liter for kerosene as of March 28.
