The Department of National Defense has announced that Lieutenant General Roy Galido is the 66th commanding general of the Philippine Army. | JEMendozaINQ

DND spokesperson Arsenio Andolong said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. appointed Galido as the new Army chief.“With Lt. Gen. Galido at the helm, the Philippine Army will undoubtedly and excellently pursue the strategic path set by the Commander-in-Chief in pursuit of the country’s stability amid the changing security landscape,” Andolong said in a statement on Monday.

Galido, a member of the Philippine Military Academy’s “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990, also served as commander of 6th Infantry Division and Western Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines .
