Sabah and Sarawak should be given allocations for water supply works, just like other states in the country, said Datuk Seri Madius Tangau.
The Tuaran MP said although water supply related matters were listed under state jurisdiction in the Federal Constitution, there was no reason why the Federal Government could not allocate direct funding to Sabah and Sarawak for water supply developments.He said currently, the “funding” for water supply to both states was in loan terms.
