"Surf and Turf is just kind of an Atlantic-themed surf, but we play on this indoor turf," PCU league chairman Joel MacNeil said. MacNeil said they had nine teams sign up right away and he expects they will have a full slate very soon. The tournament is held as a fundraiser for the high school teams at Northumberland Regional High School and North Nova Education Centre."Just kind of bragging rights," MacNeil said."Ultimate's really good for the spirit of the game. A lot of the time it just comes down to coming out and playing and enjoying your time."Go to Pictou County Ultimate on Facebook or on the web to register. Players can register as free agents and get picked up by a team, or register a team.
