A fatal accident involving a car and a five-tonne lorry claimed the lives of four people, including a three-year-old boy, in Kota Tinggi, Johor.
Four people, including a three-year-old boy, have been killed in an accident involving a car and a five-tonne lorry on Jalan Batu 3 here. Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Shahrulnizam Johari said they received a distress call on the incident at 12.52pm on Saturday (Jan 11). The victims are Aieman Azriq Ahmad, 22; Nurul Fazilah Noor Azmi, 22; Aryan Kasyaf Abdul Razzaq, three; and another man in his 20s.
We believe that Aieman Azriq and Nurul Fazilah are married and are related to the three-year-old boy while the unidentified man is a friend of Aieman's, he said in a statement, adding that the lorry driver suffered a minor injury. He said 17 personnel including medical officers and Civil Defence Force members were deployed to the location in two fire trucks and two ambulances. We are still investigating the relationships between the victims involved, he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987
