DAVAO CITY - Former Civil Service Commission Chairman Karlo Alexei Nograles is challenging former President Rodrigo Duterte for mayor here.
Nograles submitted his Certificate of Candidacy before the Commission on Elections-Davao City at past 9 a.m. along with her sister, Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta party-list Rep. Margarita"Migs" Nograles, for first district congresswoman here opposite Rep. Paolo Duterte.
“Today, I let you decide my fate. But not without first trying to convince your minds and let you know how it is to have a choice; to win your hearts and make you feel how it is to have a chance; and to earn your support so I can lead you to the change that you so deserve,” Karlo said. In a statement on Monday, October 7, Duterte said the two councilors and Barangays Toril Proper Captain Lilibeth Al-ag and Bankas Heights Captain Bernadette Al-ag were sacked after careful deliberation.
“The HTLP remains committed to upholding its values and principles, guided by our constitution and by-laws,” Duterte said.
