SYDNEY - A former Cape Breton Eagle player has been named the captain of the Val-d'Or Foreurs for the remainder of the 2022-23 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season. Forward David Doucet will wear the 'C' for the Quebec-based team. The promotion comes after the Foreurs traded captain Justin Robidas to the Quebec Remparts last month.
Doucet, who was a second-round pick by Cape Breton at the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft, has appeared in 16 games with Val-d'Or this season, posting four goals and 11 points. Zachaël Turgeon and Tomas Cibulka were named assistant captains for the team for the rest of the year.@CBPost_JeremyIt has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
