Ford CEO Jim Farley hints at the possibility of creating a standalone off-road supercar under the Raptor brand, capitalizing on its growing popularity and Ford's ambition to dominate the off-road space. Farley acknowledges the unique appeal of the Ranger Raptor for its fun factor and compliant suspension, contrasting it with the experience of a track-focused supercar. Ford Performance global director Mark Rushbrook echoes the sentiment, emphasizing the aim to infuse motorsport learnings into road-going vehicles and promising exciting developments in the future.
Jim Farley, CEO of Ford , has told Top Gear that he and his team are actively discussing the idea of launching a standalone Raptor -branded off-road supercar.
“The reason people love the Ranger Raptor...is because it’s a fun car, but the damping is very compliant. People don’t understand about off-road racing how compliant the damping is, and that makes it a totally different experience to being in a GT2 RS.
