Authorities in Tasmania are considering whether to downgrade a prepare-to-evacuate warning for riverside Hadspen residents.The SES has doorknocked residents in Hadspen, but the prepare-to-evacuate order may be revised
State Emergency Service personnel and police officers doorknocked residents on South Esk Drive and Bartley Street late yesterday warning they may have to evacuate their homes because the South Esk river was rising.The South Esk has flooded at Fingal, Llewellyn and Longford and moderate flooding is possible at Lake Trevallyn this morning.
"I'm optimistic and hopeful that will occur, but for the moment that is still the message to the people in the areas of South Esk Drive and Bartley Street.
