First Lady Louise ''Liza'' Araneta-Marcos highlighted the vital role of women when it comes to promoting peace and security in society at the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security which was hosted by the Philippines.

The said conference aims to address the enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, which reaffirms the important role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflicts, peace negotiations, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, humanitarian response, and post-conflict reconstruction.The discussions at the International Conference on Women, Peace & Security began with a shared mission: the significant role of women in advancing peace and security '' said Marcos.
