“Masasabi ko talaga na ngayong conference ready na ready na talaga ako na lumaban dito sa PBA,” said Sangalang. “Last game namin January this year after that game straight talaga sa ospital to check kung ano yung mayroon sa akin and yun nalaman nga namin na may hyperthyroid ako,” recalled Sangalang who experienced symptoms such as fatigue and sudden weight loss.Sangalang said he was given options for treatment and opted for the radioactive iodine treatment instead of the complete removal of his thyroid or an even longer 18-month therapy.
