The sudden appearance of a massive amount of fish in Sarangani, Philippines has raised concerns about a possible earthquake. Some believe that the fish migration could be a sign of an impending disaster, citing a similar incident in Japan. However, the connection between the fish invasion and the earthquake is still unknown.

In a post on January 7, the popular page stated: “Ok Philippines on the matter of the massive amount of fish in Sarangani . It could either be a migration or something else is driving them from below. They look very nervous on the videos.” On January 9 dawn, or two days after the schools of fish invaded the coast of Maasim, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded a Magnitude 6.
