Lopez, along with representatives from other private sector sponsors, received the recognition during a commemorative luncheon held on January 30th. The event was organized by DND Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. and DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga. The luncheon was attended by a distinguished group, including DND Senior Undersecretary Irineo Espino, Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies Co-Chairman Alexander Pama, other private sector sponsors, and prominent government officials who played key roles in supporting the 2024 APMCDRR. The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Philippine government, under the auspices of the DND and DENR, co-hosted the international conference from October 14th to 18th, 2023, at the Philippine International Convention Center. As a prominent private sector sponsor of the APMCDRR, FPH dedicated resources to facilitate the conference, which served as a crucial platform for participants to assess risk reduction strategies, exchange innovative solutions, and make concrete commitments to accelerate disaster risk reduction efforts by 2030 in the world's most disaster-prone region.
