FIRST LADY Liza Araneta-Marcos acknowledged Thursday she no longer thinks well of Vice President Sara Duterte, in another sign of the growing rift between the two politically powerful families.'Bad shot na yan sa akin. I mean, for me, I was hurt because my husband will do everything to protect you,' she said, recalling how the vice president attended a prayer rally in her hometown Davao City in which her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The vice president herself had attended one of these rallies, and another one for televangelist Apollo Quiboloy, whose supporters have also been calling for the ouster of Marcos, after criminal charges of abuse of children and human trafficking were filed against their leader.Despite this, Marcos maintained that he and the vice president are on the same page, even coming to her defense when she was criticized for her 'no comment' remark regarding the West Philippine Sea issue.
