They searched through heavy black smoke to confirm no one was inside and had the main body of the fire out at 9:40 a.m. Firefighters opened up walls to check for fire spread and kept smoke from migrating to the apartment units.Article content Once the investigation is complete, St. Luke’s Table can get back in the building to assess the damage and repair work needed, such as fixing water damage, said P.J. While it’s closed, people are being directed to nearby support centres including Centre 507 at 507 Bank St., NESI at 55 Eccles St. and The Well at 154 Somerset St. W.
