MANILA Mayor Maria Sheila 'Honey' Lacuna-Pangan denied rumors that the Pritil public market will soon be privatized.
'That is not true. In fact, we already had a briefing with the engineering's office and finance committee yesterday ,' Lacuna said in a media briefing on Wednesday.
'The city government of Manila operates this market, and will still operate it,' she added.A fire broke out on Friday night, destroying P110 million worth of property.Affected vendors and stall holders are temporarily positioned in front of the market.
