Filipino talent Sophia Laforteza earned the top spot in the third and final mission of HYBE Labels and Geffen Records' talent competition “The Debut: Dream Academy," securing her place in the show’s finale next week.
The third mission focused on demonstrating the contestants' artistry through different musical concepts.Competing in the live finals on Nov. 17 are Sophia, Lara , Ezrela , Daniela , Emily , Samara , Manon , Marquise , Megan , Yoonchae . The name of the new global girl group and final members who will debut will be revealed after the finale.
HYBE is the agency behind K-pop juggernaut BTS and 4th gen girl groups New Jeans and Le Sserafim, while Geffen Records is handling Olivia Rodrigo, among other artists.
