Both squads share similar records of 1-1 in the Group E standings with a -2 goal differential , making the spot for the next round potentially up for grabs for themselves. However, the Filipinas will not only need a victory against Myanmar, but also a dominant Japan win over Vietnam in Group D as only three of the second best placed teams from the five groups will make it to the next round.
