Filipinas head coach Alen Stajcic, together with assistant coach Nahuel Arrarte, is leaving the Philippine women's national football team.
Stajcic and Arrarte's contracts expired after the Filipinas' historic World Cup campaign in New Zealand.With both coaches looking to explore other options, Filipinas team manager and patron Jefferson Cheng thus won't renew their contracts, according to a statement by the Philippine Football Federation on Tuesday.
They also captured the AFF Women's Championship crown and ultimately rose to ranked 46th in the world.Stajcic also led the Philippines to its first-ever World Cup football win as the Filipino booters defeated co-host New Zealand on July 25.Stajcic that monumental Philippine football occasion as well as being cheered on by around 30,000 Filipinos in the Filipinas-Norway match on July 30 were 'the two best experiences of my coaching career'.
