The FBI made a historic discovery of over 150 homemade bombs at a Virginia farm belonging to Brad Spafford. Court documents reveal Spafford's interest in political assassinations and stockpiling weapons.

The FBI seized over 150 homemade bombs from a farm in Virginia, marking what is believed to be the largest such discovery in the agency's history. Agents discovered the explosives while searching the home of 36-year-old Brad Spafford following a tip from a neighbor who reported him stockpiling weapons and ammunition. Court documents reveal Spafford, a machine shop worker, used pictures of President Joe Biden for target practice and expressed support for political assassinations.

Some explosives, assessed as pipe bombs, were found in a bedroom backpack, while a jar of HMTD, a highly unstable explosive, was discovered in the freezer labeled 'Do Not Touch'. A notebook containing recipes for making explosives, including grenades, was also found at the property. A neighbor informed the FBI that Spafford discussed fortifying his home with a 360-degree turret for a 50-caliber firearm. Spafford, charged with unlawful possession of a rifle, faces additional charges for the explosives, each carrying a maximum sentence of ten years. His attorneys argue he is a hard-working family man with no criminal record and seek his release from custody
