TrAC. What's the objective of giving it a name? What is new with AES?There are a few significant and minor changes in the 2025 NLE project compared to previous elections, which have two components: 1) the AES composed of the election management system, voting and counting system, and the canvassing and consolidation system; and 2) the electronic transmission.
TrAC stands for Full Automation System with Transparency Audit/Count. The critical keywords are 'transparency' and 'audit.' Does TrAC meet the transparency requirements that various groups have been asking for? Will the public count serve as the audit of the ACM count?By the way, the same ACM will be used for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao parliamentary elections which will happen on the same day as the NLE. There will be a separate ballot for the BARMM elections, the implementation of which will be based on the BARMM Electoral Code and its implementing rules and regulations.
