CEBU CITY – In less than two minutes, some P14-million worth of jewelry was stolen during a broad daylight in Barangay Ermita here on Thursday, August 8.

Garcia warned that a change in leadership may be made at the Cebu City Police Office if the robberies will not be solved within 48 hours.The two shops are both located at Labucay Building on Calderon St. Closed-circuit television camera footage at Macy’s showed that it was past noon when three armed men broke into the store and directed the security guard, workers, and customers to drop to the floor.
According to the CCPO, Macy’s lost P10 million in jewelry while P4 million worth of jewelry was taken from DGC D’Gold.The CCPO immediately conducted checkpoints in various areas here but the suspects were not intercepted. The Cebu Police Provincial Office is also conducting their own checkpoints.
