The family of vlogger Lloyd Cadena says he suffered a heart attack in his sleep while confined in a hospital for COVID-19. FULL STORY:
said on Sunday, September 6, that the popular Filipino vlogger had tested positive for COVID-19 before he died.In a statement posted on Lloyd's official Facebook page, his family thanked those who prayed for them and expressed sympathy.
"There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks for the prayers and sympathy you have extended to our family during this time of loss," they said. According to his family, Lloyd was admitted to a hospital on September 1 because of high fever and dry cough. He was tested for the coronavirus the same day, with the results coming out a couple of days later on September 3. His family and BNT, a collective of content creators whom he mentored, began to self-isolate.
On September 4, his family said,"he was seen by the staff unresponsive and pale looking." Lloyd had suffered a heart attack while sleeping.His family welcomes expressions of sympathy, including cards and flowers, at their home address in Parañaque City. Lloyd was among the country's most popular content creators. He started posting videos to YouTube in 2011, steadily growing his audience both on YouTube and Facebook.
