Hindi totoong mamimigay ng P5,000 hanggang P8,000 na ayuda ang Department of Social Welfare and Development at Department of the Interior and Local Government sa bawat residente ng barangay. Taliwas ito sa mga kumakalat na mensahe sa text at social media.
Sinabi rin sa mensahe na ang sinumang hindi pa nakatatanggap ay kinakailangang tumawag sa DILG at sa ilang mga binigay na numero. “… nanananwagan po ang DILG at DSWD sa lahat ng mga KAPITAN at KAPITANA na maging maingat, huwag haluan ng Pulitika at tiyakin na mabibigyan ang mga nabanggit na dapat makatanggap ng ayuda.. at hindi kung sino lang ang mga PABORITO ninyo… Dahil tiyak na mananagot ang LAHAT ng mga KAPITAN o KAPITANA na magsasamantala..”
“Walang katotohan na mayroong ipinamamahagi na Php5,000 hanggang Php8,000 sa bawat residente ng barangay ang at ang . Ang mga naturang kagawaran ay walang ganitong uri ng aktibidad o programa,” ayon sa post ng DSWD.
