University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses volleyball player Eya Laure is bidding adieu to her school after 12 years signaling that she will turn professional, though she said she wanted to play for one more year.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, she had thanked every single member of the Thomasian community and her team.Laure apologized to the fans called the 'Sea of Yellow' for not being able to give a championship to the university.'Patawad dahil hindi ko naibigay yungchampionship na deserve niyo. But more than that, salamat. Parang sasabog ang dibdib ko sa sobrang laki ng pasasalamat na meron ako sa inyo,' she wrote.
Kasama niyo na ako ngayon,' she added in a message to her fans.Laure said she will always be the team's captain.She did not mention where she will go next, if she will be joining a team in the Professional Volleyball League.Laure's teammate, Imee Hernandez, meanwhile, said in an Instagram post on Thursday that she is also turning professional.'UST community, you have been with me through all the battles and I am forever grateful.
