FORMER Zambales governor Vicente “GoVic” Magsaysay died from a heart attack on Monday evening, his family has confirmed.
The late governor served the province of Zambales for 28 years. He just turned 79 years old on January 21. “He led a life of unimaginable selfless public service,” Mary Rose Magsaysay, daughter, said on a Facebook post. For her part, Congresswoman Mitos Magsaysay also paid her respect to her father-in-law, saying “No words but thank you for everything.”The governor was famous for his infrastructure projects, particularly the GoVic highways, among others. These road networks allowed shorter travel time to different towns in the whole province.
“Rest in peace Lolo. You have done so many things to Zambales and our kababayans,” Dr. Ma. Carmen Magsaysay, one of the grand daughters, also posted on social media.OTHER STORIES
