FORMER Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista is facing a graft case before the Sandiganbayan for allegedly causing 'undue injury' to the government in the amount of P25.
3 million.In the charge sheet, which was filed last month, the Office of the Ombudsman accused Bautista and former Quezon City administrator Aldrin Cuña of violating Section 3 of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
The Ombudsman alleged that on June 27, 2019 'or sometime prior or subsequent to this date', the two, 'in conspiracy with one another,' caused undue injury to the government and conferred 'unwarranted benefits and advantage on Cygnet Energy and Power Asia, Inc. .The Ombudsman said that Bautista signed a disbursement voucher, approving the payment of the P25.
