PETALING JAYA: Amir Ali, the former CEO of Melaka Halal Hub Sdn Bhd, was charged in the Ayer Keroh sessions court today with abusing his position to appoint his daughter as a financial officer at the company owned by the Melaka government in 2021.
Amir, 56, pleaded not guilty to the charge read before judge Elesabet Paya Wan, Berita Harian reported.He is accused of using his position to appoint his daughter, Nur Hafizah, to the position of W41 finance officer in the company. The offence was allegedly committed at Melaka Halal Hub in Jasin on April 1, 2021.
