Apple officially announces the iPhone 15 series: The iPhone 15, the 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. All comes with USB-C. The Pro models get titanium frames and improved gaming features, more than enough to play Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Apple announces four new iPhones. iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.The Pro models will let you play Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake, games previously available on the PC and consoles.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have the same A16 bionic chip as seen in the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple did something like this last year, with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus using the same chip from the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. Apple also spent a considerable amount of time talking about portrait images, which kind of makes sense since a lot of smartphone makers are investing in portraits. Apple said they are using machine learning to improve image quality.
This year, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus get the Dynamic Island, the new feature that was introduced last year and was exclusive to the Pro models. The Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped cutout above the iPhone’s screen. It replaced the notch and introduced a slew of cool features that allowed people to control apps. We can hope the availability of the Dynamic Island on all models means that it has reached a wider application among developers to add cool things to their iOS apps.
While the base 15 and 15 Plus gets the old chip, the 15 Pro models get the A17 Pro, which of course, promises more powerful capabilities. Though Apple mentioned it is 10% faster without comparing it to anything. We’re going to assume they mean the iPhone 15 Pro is 10% faster than the iPhone 14 Pro. This also includes hardware ray tracing, so graphics are going to look nicer than ever.
