Two European leaders are set to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping today in a push for Europe to engage with China.
French President Emmanuel Macron and European Union President Ursula von de Leyen flew to Beijing on Wednesday, marking their visit the latest in a series of visits from European leaders to attempt to halt the Ukraine war and improve trade relations.
This visit comes days after Ms von der Leyen criticised Mr Jinping’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
