The award-winning actress answered a variety of questions about her life, including details about her educational journey. Eugene emphasized that completing her education, despite taking eight years, was one of the best decisions she ever made.
She revealed that she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman, admitting to overstaying her welcome due to her enjoyment of the university experience. She also spent a year at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. \Eugene expressed her preference for state universities because of the lower cost of tuition. She explained that she was not financially well-off during her college years and wanted to graduate with a diploma. In a 2023 episode of 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' international actress Dolly De Leon shared how Eugene supported her during a difficult time, covering her son's tuition for three years. Dolly, who starred alongside Eugene in Theater Arts at UP, recounted how Eugene stepped in to help when she couldn't afford basic necessities or her son's education. Dolly acknowledged Eugene's kindness and generosity during her time of need. \Eugene is currently part of the cast for the upcoming musical 'Into the Woods,' which also features Lea Salonga and New York-based Fil-Am Broadway star Arielle Jacobs.
