The blaze in Donnybrook-Balingup Shire, which was sparked by lightning on Tuesday, has been upgraded after jumping a containment line.

The emergency warning is in place for people bounded by Austin Road across to Best Road, Collie-Preston Road, Bibbulmun track across to Laymans Road and the Donnybrook-Boyup Road, Grimwade Road, Lowden-Grimwade Road, Morrissey Road and Yabberup Road in Glen Mervyn, Mumballup, Noggerup, Thomas Brook and Yabberup in the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup.
Residents are in danger and need to leave now for a safer place if the way is clear, or get ready to shelter in their homes if they can not leave.
