MANILA, Philippines — OPM icon Ely Buendia is back to making music, this time as a solo artist.
The singer-songwriter — who played with bands Eraserheads, The Mongols and Pupil, among other groups — released his new single 'Bulaklak sa Buwan' on Friday. An official video was also released to accompany the single.Bulaklak sa Buwan is Buendia 's first solo work after his 2021 song, 'Metro.'In an official press statement, Buendia said he has been watching documentaries and tried to distill everything into one song, thus Bulaklak sa Buwan.
I took great care to record very well, mix and sing very well on it,' he said.Buendia admitted that coming up with a new solo album was a wonder even for himself.'I was wondering that myself but, I think it's just because first of all, there were songs that I really wanted to hear recorded and I built up a huge throve of unfinished songs throughout the years. I really just wanted to hear them and I think this is the perfect time to release those songs.
