THE election period and gun ban for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections 2023 is set on Monday, August 28, 2023, the Commission on Elections said on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
The filing of the certificate of candidacy for BSKE is set from August 28 until September 2, while the campaign period was scheduled from October 19 to 28. He noted that individuals who will file their certificate of candidacy shall be immediately considered candidates. It said it is looking into the possibility of implementing a money ban where those persons who are caught carrying cash that is P500,000 and above, and those who made transactions via electronic wallets to 20 people will be presumed to participate in vote buying.
